Of Forest Hills, passed peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on April 25, 1935, he was raised in Rankin and raised his family in Forest Hills.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sally; his daughters, Christine Zubrow (Patrick) and Michelle Sabino; and the many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence.
A proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Dickinson School of Law, Frank dedicated his professional life to the practice of law, with a distinguished career that included work in private practice and in the Trust and Estate Department of PNC. He approached his profession with integrity and diligence.
Frank was deeply committed to serving his community. He served on the Forest Hills Borough Council and later served as Mayor of Forest Hills, always guided by a strong sense of civic responsibility and care for his neighbors. Frank also was a member of the former Forest Hills Lions Club and volunteered as a driver for the Forest Hills Flivver bus.
As dementia gradually changed his world, Frank held fast to one of his greatest joys—music. He found comfort and happiness in playing the piano and singing, gifts he continued to share with those around him until the end of his life.
Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145. Frank will then be laid to rest at Allegheny Cemetery Mausoleum.
