Loving mother of Michael Drzewinski of NC and Thomas Drzewinski of NJ.
Treasured grandmother of Alison (Edward) Strobino of NJ, Nicole Drzewinski of NJ, Jacqueline Drzewinski of NYC, and Timothy Drzewinski of Chicago.
Proud and pleased great-grandmother of Cecilia Strobino.
Sister of Rose (Louis) Mediate of Export, Erminia Vecchio and Louis Vecchio, both of Pitcairn, the late Ortenzio “Art” (surviving spouse, Evelyn) Vecchio and the late Orelio “Rollo” (late Mary Ann) Vecchio.
In 1936, Vera immigrated from Calabria, Italy to the United States with her parents, Francesco and Maria Vecchio, and her siblings, Ortenzio and Rose. The family settled in Pitcairn for work in the railroad industry. Vera graduated from Pitcairn High School and worked for Kroger’s before moving to New Jersey in 1964. Using her retail grocery background, she became employed with A&P before retiring. Elvira loved to create ceramic items and she enjoyed gardening, walking for exercise, singing and cooking.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette Church, Monroeville, of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Vera will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
